Depending on the age of your kids, they might be able to serve Dad breakfast in bed or offer to make dinner in the galley for him. If the kids making a meal is daunting, help them find a nearby restaurant that Dad might like!

Pop some popcorn or order some pizza and set up a movie night where Dad gets to pick the movie! We love introducing our kids to the classics we enjoyed as kids, like "The Goonies," "The Sandlot," "Jumanji," and others.

Decide some kid-appropriate boat chores that the kids will get done today without complaining. Mopping the floor, doing the dishes, washing the hull... Let Dad put his feet up today!

Encourage the kids to get creative and write a fun made-up story where Dad is the hero, or have them write out their favorite memory with Dad from the Great Loop Adventure so far!

Set an alarm for every hour that Dad is awake. When that alarm goes off, the kids need to find Dad and give him a big bear hug! Every hour, on the hour.

Make some sandwiches and pack some snacks and drinks, then take the dinghy to shore for a walk to a park or the beach for a picnic!

Your boat should be equipped with a VHF radio; sometimes, it's nice to have a handheld option! This is especially handy to take along on dingy adventures.
